Questions answers.
1- “Is there any precaution I should keep in mind when using it for the first time?”
When using for the first time, let the Price’s Candles scented candle burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the wax becomes liquid on the surface . This way you will prevent the wax from sinking around the wick, giving rise to the unpleasant phenomenon of tunneling (the hole in the centre). Your candle will be ready for subsequent uses.
2 – “When I blew out the candle, I realized that the candle had only melted in the central part.”
It is the tunneling phenomenon we talked about just now. If you don’t keep the candle lit long enough, the melted wax will not reach the walls of the jar and will form a central tunnel . There is a simple way to avoid this: leave the candle lit until the top layer of wax has completely melted. Usually, this means leaving the candle burning for at least an hour.
Too late? To recover and bring all the wax back to the same level, wrap the lit candle in a layer of foil, the entire surface will heat evenly. Remember, when taking care of your scented candle, the following rule applies: more attention, less waste.
3 – “Is there a right way to light and blow out a candle?”
We recommend cutting the wick so that it is approximately 1cm long and lighting the candle with a match. To put it out, do not blow on it but remove oxygen from the flame . Using a snuffer (or a simple saucer). Take care of your scented candle and it will repay you by spreading a better fragrance.
4 – “Why is it appropriate to choose carefully where to light the candle in the house?”
Some reasons:
Purely aesthetic reasons (if the green of lime and basil matches the cushions in the living room, you can choose it as a design object).
Functional reasons (choose a scent you like while reading a book).
And above all: safety aspects. A scented candle is a safe object, but it is still a burning flame. Therefore, keep it away from flammable objects such as curtains or paper. To promote even burning, do not light it near draughts. Place it on heat-resistant surfaces. Supervise the flame by keeping it out of the reach of children and pets.
Safety tips
• Keep lit candles out of reach of pets and children.
• Notify guests of the presence of lit candles.
• Do not place candles near curtains, flammable objects and plants.
• Protect table and surfaces.
