    Had to throw it away – the smell is very thick and not pleasant at all- the ‘liquid and vapour are highly flammable’, I’m not sure how good to breath in it is!

    I love the Prices candles ( this one and and others. ) They have an amazing and natural smell. I live in Australia and when visiting Scotland I bought 3 different candles. I would love to buy the reeds but am guessing dont deliver to Australia

    Smells nice, extremely strong and would mask smells well…only problem is all citrus essential oils can be highly toxic to dogs so makes no sense that orange and lemon are used in a product that is obviously aimed to houses with pets. Perfect for a home without dogs though.

    I had hoped that this might be the answer to doggy smells in the house, but like some other reviewers, I found the smell overpowering and had to get it out of the house asap. If I found it excessive, then my dog must have done too. Admittedly I have a strong sense of smell, but it was so strong that it gave me a headache, and I’m glad my body was telling me to get rid of it. I dread to think what chemicals are in there. At least I didn’t pay full price for it with the Waitrose offer.

      It is possible to reduce the strength of the fragrance released by reducing the amount of reeds you put in to the diffuser.

      Please be assured, we have taken every precaution to ensure the safety of our customers, and only use fragrance oils which have been vetted and contain the least possible sensitisers and hazards.

      For obvious reasons we do recommend that the reed diffuser is kept away from the pets reach.

    Please put a warning on the packaging of this product! I have just spent the past 4 days with an extreme allergic reaction, bringing on an asthma attack after allergic rhinitis whereby I have been constantly sneezing to the point of which I have never known before! It has taken 4 days of ‘FEXOFENADINE 180mg’ to get this under control! … I only ever suffer with hay fever and not man made substances, but there is something dreadful in this! I have sealed it in a plastic bag and shall return to store.

    Bought from Waitrose thinking this was safe for dogs as it is for pet smells.
    Dog was agitated and panting, checked ingredients and it appears that it has citrus based products in plus pinene. I feel this product is being mis sold. I’d be grateful if customer services could contact me to discuss a refund.

Delivery should be 3-5 working days from point of order. We aim to dispatch all orders within 3 working days of receiving them and orders may take up to 5 working days for delivery.

Please note that we are not open on weekends or public holidays.

Your order will be delivered by Parcelforce or Royal Mail. Depending of the information you supply Parcelforce may use your mobile number or landline to send you text alerts or automated telephone call, to advise day and time of your delivery. They may also email you a tracking number which you can track your parcel using the Parcelforce website. This is a service that Parcelforce provides and which we feel is of benefit to you but do not have any control over.

 

Our standard UK Mainland delivery cost is £5.50, or spend over £40 for free delivery.

If you have purchased our products from the website would like to return items due to change of mind, or you have received incorrect or damaged items please contact us as soon as possible. This applies only to direct purchases made from Price’s Patent Candles Ltd.

You will need to return items to us that you wish to cancel at your own cost. Once you let us know you would like to cancel, we can advise you on how to return the products.

If you’re returning the entire order and you have paid for delivery, we will refund the cost of Standard Delivery to your country. If you are returning only part of your order, any delivery charge you paid won’t be refunded.

The products you return must be unused and in their original condition.

We will do our best to accept all returns but it is your responsibility to ensure that our products are packed well enough that they will arrive safely and undamaged. General Information

Understanding the Safety Labels on Your Products

Hazards & Warnings explained

Fragrance oils contain a wide range of ingredients and some of these may cause skin irritation, which could lead to an allergic reaction if the fragrance oil were to come into contact with the skin. The same ingredients or other ingredients might be toxic to aquatic environment. Where these ingredients are found in a high enough concentration, in the final diffuser to be a hazard, then we have to list these on the label. We also have to advise you of how to manage these hazards. This is why you will see diffusers with an exclamation mark and a dead fish symbol followed by ingredients on the label. These are there by law as we have to list them. These are the only 3 possible images you will find on our Price’s diffusers, and, some products have no pictograms triggered at all.

All our wax melts and candles are CLP compliant. So what is CLP?

CLP stands for Classification, Labelling & Packaging. It’s a piece of legislation that all candle & diffuser makers have to comply with to sell their products legally in Europe and the UK. In layman terms, we, the manufacturer, have to tell you, the customer, what (if any) the hazards are in our candles, and label them accordingly, so that you can look at the label, and immediately see what, if any, hazards the product presents. The label will include (where necessary) a signal word, image, and hazard statement for each hazard class and category.

Precautionary statements may also be provided. As of June 2015, candles fall into this legislation where they contain fragrance oil. It is not just candles that CLP legislation applies to and you may already have noticed that several household products such as bleach and washing up liquid will have warning labels on them.
