Environmental Policy

Price’s Patent Candles Ltd is a candle maker to Her Majesty the Queen and wholesale and retail distributor of candles and accessories operating from 16 Hudson Road, Elms Farm Industrial Estate, MK41 0LZ and we recognise that the matters of environmental protection are an integral part of its management function and key to good business practice and sustainability.

We recognise that our operations result in emissions to air and the generation of waste. It is our aim to comply with legislation and other requirements and continue to reduce the environmental impacts of our business and operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
The Company views this as an important responsibility and is committed to minimise its environmental impact and will look for continuous improvement concerning our activities, products and services.
The key points of its strategy are:-
    • Follow the concept of continual improvement, making best use of our management resources in all matters of environmental protection.
    • Take due care to prevent and/reduce pollution where possible. Minimise and reduce waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
    • Promote recycling, educate, train and motivate employees to raise awareness of environmental issues and enlist their support in improving the Company’s performance.
    • Measure its impact on the environment and set targets for ongoing improvement.
    • Encourage environmental protection among suppliers and customers.
    • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation that applies to the Company.
The Company is committed to continual improvement of environmental performance.
The environmental policy applies to all of our operations including management, office services, site operations, and procurement. Senior Management have the day to day responsibility for ensuring that the requirements of this policy are being followed and for monitoring the effectiveness of the objectives and all employees of Price’s have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met. Our Directors have overall responsibility for ensuring that sufficient resources are made available to enable the business to achieve our environmental objectives and targets and that the policy is implemented. This Policy will be communicated to all staff, contractors and suppliers, and be available for the public.
